Our mission is "To show God's love, through out actions, by sharing Christ, teaching students and serving others."  This is based on 1 John 3:18.

 

We always have a lot of things going on at BASIC but they all go back to achieving the mission statement we have put together.  You can find a great place to learn about various aspects of the Christian faith at our weekly bible studies on Sunday nights, or at the group meeting on Thursday nights, along with a live band.  We do a lot of fun, action-packed events like broomball, cook-outs, luaus, game nights, dodgeball, ultimate frisbee, and a lot more that you can check out and bring your friends.   We also love serving other students on campus.  Many know us at "The Pop Tart People" because we give out free stuff on the Quad every Thursday morning, particularly Pop Tarts, as you may have guessed.  This allows us to meet a need of the students on a weekly basis as well as get to know people on personal level.  BASIC is a smaller group of great Christian friends who are working to be Christ-like on campus.  With so many opportunities, we'd love for you to join us or just to hang out.  If you have any questions or want to talk about BASIC, send an email to uiucbasic@gmail.com.
